April 26
A Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a suspicious vehicle in the Hilliar Township Park. The deputy made contact with the occupants and consent to search the vehicle was given. Drug paraphernalia was found
in the car and a report was filed.

A complainant advised that there was a boat with no trailer on the road between Green Valley Rd and Mile Creek Rd.

Deputies were dispatched to a home in Martinsburg, Ohio, on a home that had been burglarized. The rear door to the back porch had been forced open breaking the door jamb. A window to the porch had also been broken. The resident advised they had been away at work and was unaware of what time it may have taken place. They also advised that it did not appear anything was taken and it did not look like they had gotten through the rear door to
the home. A report was filed.

A complainant went to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to file a report on theft. The complainant advised that they were scammed out of $6000.00 by an unknown person claiming to be from Amazon.com. A report was filed to document the incident. At this time there are no suspects in this case.

Deputies responded to the area of White Road for a burglary in progress. A male and a female were located in the residence and identified as relatives of the current tenant, assisting in moving belongings out. A civil standby was provided.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted regarding a structure fire.
