Cantu Sentenced to Additional Prison Time on Drug Charge

Marcie Cantu, 50, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to 11 months in prison, consecutive to the sentences she is currently serving at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville. She was sentenced to two and a half years on two other drug offenses in August of 2020. Judge Richard Wetzel took her guilty plea by video, finding her guilty of conspiracy to drug trafficking, a felony of the fourth degree. The judge found a consecutive sentence was proper because she had been on community control at the time of the new offense. The judge also ordered the forfeiture of $690 to the MVPD.
