Danville/Brinkhaven Police Report – Apr 03, 2021

March 24
Investigation initiated on a complaint of a sexual in nature incident between an adult and a juvenile.
Conducted a K-9 demonstration for a Boy Scout troop – Apple Valley Club House.
Officer made a traffic stop on an observed traffic violation and upon contact with the vehicle’s driver, Homer Claypool age 39 of Killbuck, it was discovered that there was an active arrest warrant out of Holmes County for Claypool. Holmes County was contacted, and they advised to release Claypool due to their Covid-19 protocol and instruct Claypool to contact their Municipal Court.

March 25
Officer spoke with a Boy Scout troop on the aspects of pursuing a law enforcement career – Floral Valley Community Center.
K-9 unit assisted Mount Vernon Police in an attempt to locate a subject who fled on foot from an officer – Kestar Drive.

March 26
Brittany McGinnis age 26 of Mount Vernon was issued a traffic citation for speed.
Gary Miller age 32 of Alliance was issued traffic citations for driving under suspension and for a turn signal violation.
Carol Dailey age 62 of Mount Vernon was issued a traffic citation for failing to stop for a stopped school bus.

March 28
Cell phone text harassment – in the 200 block of East Walnut Street.
Suspicious person – in the 600 block of South Market Street.
Assisted a sheriff’s deputy on a residential alarm – in the 500 block of Grand Valley Drive.

March 29
Jacob M. Travis age 27 of Howard was issued a traffic citation for speed.
Unsecured building – in the 10 block of West Rambo Street.

March 30
Report of a person placing their trash in another person’s trash dumpster – Hillcrest Drive.
Assisted sheriff units on a call of an intoxicated person possibly brandishing a firearm and threatening other persons. Discovered there was no firearm involved – Kingsway Circle.

March 31
Assisted the Danville EMT’s – in the 200 block of East Walnut Street.

April 1
Andrew Cline age 37 of Warsaw was issued a traffic citation for driving under suspension.

April 2
Assisted a sheriff unit who observed an individual walking along the road fitting the description of person that has an active felony arrest warrant. Upon officers checking on the individual it was discovered to not be the one the felony warrant was for – Coshocton Avenue.
Assisted a sheriff unit attempting to make a traffic stop where the vehicle was failing to stop. After a short low speed pursuit, the vehicle pulled over – Harrisburg Road.

April 3
Assisted a sheriff unit on an auto accident – Nashville Road.
