Brown Announces Nearly $5 Million for Autonomous Vehicle Research at Ohio State University

WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 16, 2021 – Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Advanced Research Project Agency (APRA-E) has awarded $4,933,333 to Ohio State University for its Fuel Economy Optimization and Automated Vehicle Project. The funds will be used to advance automated vehicle technology that will be used to keep drivers safe

ARPA-E’s Next-Generation Energy Technologies for Connected and Automated On-Road Vehicles (NEXTCAR) Program develops technologies that use connectivity and automation to improve the safety and energy efficiency of vehicles.
