February 25
Dispatch advised that a complainant wanted to report a stolen bicycle.

A caller, from the Learning Center in Mount Vernon, requested deputies make contact with a student to check on their welfare.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on North Sandusky Street. A caller reported that there were approximately five people involved and it looked like it was going to get physical. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and discovered it was a verbal argument and othering physical had taken place, all parties were separated and told not to have contact with one another. A report was filed to document the incident.

A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and advised that they had fallen victim to a social security scam and needed to file a report. A report was filed and information was given to the complainant to further safeguard themself in the future.

A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office requesting a welfare check on her neighbor, who she reported was very distraught.

February 26
Deputies were dispatched to Edgar Road in Danville on a welfare check. Dispatch advised that the complainant’s daughter received a text message from a male living at the Edgar Road address making statements of harm. Deputies arrived on the scene and spoke with the male. He advised that when he sent the message earlier in the day, he was intoxicated but had no plans or means of hurting himself. Deputies spoke with the homeowner and parents of the male who are out of state. They advised that they would send family over to the residence to be there with the male. Deputies advised the male of additional resources such as Behavioral Health Partners, and the #211 Crisis Hotline. Deputies cleared the scene and spoke with the original complainant and advised her that the male was OK and family would be with him shortly.

A victim advised that the suspect had pushed her down and assaulted her during an argument. The victim wrote out a statement and the responding deputies took photographs of her injuries. The suspect, Thomas W. Glick, was located and arrested for domestic violence and assault.
