Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Feb 25, 2021

February 24
Deputies were dispatched to a home in Gambier on a juvenile threatening to harm himself and others. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to Knox Community Hospital for treatment and evaluation. The juvenile was also transported to the Muskingum Juvenile Detention Center after evaluation.

A Deputy was dispatched to Kenyon Security to meet with a complainant who had their bike stolen on or about February 23, 2021. A report was taken.

A complainant advised that someone used her identity to file for unemployment benefits.

A deputy was notified by dispatch of a report of a theft from a worksite on Vernonview Drive in Mount Vernon. Contact was made with the complainant by telephone and specifics were obtained about the incident.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted regarding an abandoned vehicle located on Danville-Amity Road. The vehicle was located near North Ridge Heights. Due to being a road hazard, Danville Tire was contacted by dispatch to tow the vehicle. Danville Tire arrived and collected the vehicle. The owner was notified where the vehicle will be located.

February 25
A complainant called and advised that the involved party was seeking snakes and wanted deputies to respond to his residence to speak to her. Deputies responded and spoke with both parties. It was determined that there was an argument between both of them and the female wanted to leave. She was asked about seeing snakes or attempting to harm herself and she denied both of those and requested a ride to her home.
