February 8
A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and advised that an unknown person or source had filed for unemployment in their name. A report was filed to document the incident per the complainant’s request.

A student in Centerburg physically assaulted another student causing visible injury. The school suspended the aggressor, and a report was made to send to the juvenile court for charges.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of Millersburg Road near Danville Auto Sales on a suspicious male individual standing next to a truck. Deputies were able to locate this individual and the vehicle parked in the middle of the business driveway. While interviewing the male, deputies noticed a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle and upon further investigation, several marijuana plants were located in the bed of the vehicle. Information was gathered and the vehicle was seized for processing at the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

February 9
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was investigating a hit-skip accident. During their investigation, a sentry safe was located near the accident. They collected the safe and turned it over to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.

A complainant contacted the Knox County Sheriff’s Office regarding a male who was going to attempt to cause self-harm.

Deputies responded to the area of Blue Road for a report of domestic violence. The Suspect, Justin M. Pittman of Mount Vernon, was located and was charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business. Pittman was transported to the Knox County Jail.
