Assisted a citizen – in the 100 block of South Market Street

January 29
Jesse Matthew age 33 of Howard was issued a traffic citation for speed

January 31
Disturbance- in the 200 block of East Walnut Street
Assisted the Sheriff’s Office by taking an auto crash report in the 27000 block of Flat Run Road during the snowstorm. A vehicle occupied twice and being driven by Jose Gonzalez age 38 of Mount Vernon went off the right side of the roadway on a curb, going down an embankment, overturning and coming to rest on its left side. Neither occupants had apparent injuries and were wearing their seatbelts and were not ejected

Dylan Ball age 21 of Howard was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Coshocton County
Conducted a K-9 sweep of a vehicle for the presence of illegal drugs/paraphernalia w/positive hit – North Market Street

February 4
Assisted Sheriff’s Department on attempted suicide call – Chestnut Ridge Road
Assisted Mount Vernon Police by conducting a K-9 sweep of a vehicle for the presence of illegal drugs/contraband w/neg. hit – Ariel Park

February 6
Suspicious vehicle – Hunter Road and Millersburg intersection, Brinkhaven
Assisted Sheriff’s Department by attempting to locate a reported possible intoxicated driver – Danville-Jelloway Road
Disturbance – in the 100 block of East Ross Street

February 7
Steven A. Carr age 32 of Brinkhaven was issued a traffic citation for a stop sign violation
Assisted the Danville EMTs’ and Ohio Highway Patrol on a traffic crash scene – Howard-Danville Road and Chapel Road

February 8
Suspicious vehicle – in the 10 block of East Main Street
Responded to report of a suspicious person with a flashlight in the area of the Danville Auto Sales on Millersburg Road. Upon arrival, DPD officer confronted and detained a male suspect until the Sheriff’s Deputies arrived. It was discovered there was possible criminal activity involved. Upon deputies’ arrival, all officers checked the area and possible criminal activity was discovered. Footprints leading away from the area indicated at least two other individuals may have been involved. The on-call Sheriff’s detective and the on-call County Prosecutor were informed. The incident is under further investigation
Responded to a possible drug overdose – East Main Street
Robert Butler age 27 of Danville was issued a traffic citation for a stop sign violation
Andrew O. Jones age 34 of Danville was issued a criminal citation for possession of a drug abuse instrument
