Part-Time Firefighter II Position Available

The Fredericktown Community Fire District is accepting applications for a part-time Firefighter II. We currently have one position open.

This daytime staffing position is 37-hours per week, plus overtime after 40-hours. The schedule is Monday through Friday with a pay of $17.00 per hour upon hiring and a review after your one-year of probation.
Department uniforms and gear provided at time of hiring. Continuing education opportunities are available to all employees. Firefighters are expected to attend regular departmental training which is held on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. The list of duties and responsibilities can be made available at time of application.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED
• Firefighter II Certification
• Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
• Minimum of two years of experience
• Required to already have or obtain their Certified Life Safety Inspector within one year from date of hire.
The FCFD is located in NW Knox County and provides fire/rescue services to the second largest fire district in the county, encompassing 118 square miles. Our coverage area includes the townships of Berlin, Middlebury, Morris, Pike, Wayne, and the Village of Fredericktown. In 2020, our members responded to 289 calls. We operate two engines, one tanker, one rescue, two brush trucks, ATV, and a dive rescue boat from two firehouses in our district.
