January 15
A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to file a complaint of unemployment fraud. A report was filed to document the incident.

A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to file a complaint about an unknown person(s) filing unemployment in her name.

Michael Ball was located and arrested on multiple outstanding warrants issued out of the Knox County Common Pleas Court. Ball was transported to the Knox County Jail where he was released to jail staff.

A complainant advised that someone used her identity in an attempt to obtain Ohio unemployment benefits.

January 16
A victim called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to report that an unknown suspect broke the window of her vehicle and stole her purse. A deputy responded and made contact with the victim. Photographs of the vehicle were taken and a report was completed for documentation.

A complainant reported that his storage unit was broken into and multiple items were stolen. A report was made on the complainant’s behalf.

Deputies located two juveniles in the playground area of Columbia School. When the juveniles saw the deputes they took off running. The juveniles were located hiding in the playground area. The juveniles were taken back home and released to the custody of a parent.

January 17
A complainant advised her son was out of control and unruly. After conducting an investigation, the complainant, Margaret L. White, was arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.
