Background

On June 8, 2020, AEP Ohio filed an application to increase its annual revenues for electric distribution service. According to a PUCO staff analysis, the rates and terms proposed by the company would result in an annual revenue increase of approximately $36 million. AEP Ohio’s request would result in an approximately $2-3 increase per monthly bill (or approximately 1.8% of the total bill) for the average residential customer, depending on usage.
