Matthew S. Adams age 26, of Martinsburg, is in the Knox County Jail following a pursuit and burglary. Just after 11:00 a.m. Fredericktown Police observed the suspect in the area of the Bell Store. He was known to have warrants for his arrest. After a vehicle pursuit that involved Fredericktown Police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Adams left his vehicle and fled on foot in the area of Pinkley Rd. and Waterford Rd.
While attempting to elude officers, Adams was reported to have broken into a residence. He left the area when confronted by the homeowner. A Mount Vernon Police Department K9 unit and OSP aviation assisted deputies in the search. At approximately 12:57 p.m. Adams was located and surrendered to officers.
