December 23
A Complainant called to report that her vehicle was stolen. She reported that she parked it behind Subway in Centerburg and when she returned to the location to leave for work it was not parked where she left it. A deputy responded, and the victim completed a statement form. The vehicle was entered into the state database (LEADS) as stolen and a report was completed for documentation.

A Deputy was dispatched to Apple Hill Drive in Howard on a report of two neighbor’s dogs fighting. The complainant stated that her dog left her yard to play with her neighbor’s dog in the street when her neighbor’s dog bit her dog on the face. A witness was bit on the hand as he tried to break the dogs up. The witness declined medical assistance.

A Complainant advised that his truck’s rear license plate was taken sometime prior to December 14, 2020. A report was made for documentation.

A Complainant advised that their leased garbage bin was stolen during the last week. She provided a serial number and a report was made for documentation.

December 24
A Deputy was dispatched to the area of Hopewell Road and Grove Church Road on the report of an injured deer that needed to be dispatched.

A Complainant advised that his vehicle was on fire on Vernonview Drive. Monroe Township Fire Department arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire. Blubaugh Body and Frame took possession of the vehicle for insurance purposes.

While on routine patrol, a black Toyota Tacoma was found to be disabled along the side of the roadway of Martinsburg Road. The left rear of the vehicle was on/close to the white line and the vehicle was in the middle of a hill. Due to the unsafe location of the vehicle, the vehicle was towed by Blubaugh Body and Frame.

December 26
Deputies were dispatched to the area of Gaskin Avenue in Gambier, on the report of a potential burglary in progress. The subject was said to have left in a black Honda and was later found to be traveling westbound on Coshocton Road. The subject was stopped and contact was made with the subject that left the Gaskin Avenue address.
