Offenses

December 9
A Complainant reported that someone damaged the roof of his residence on Sychar Road. He was unsure of when the incident occurred.

December 10
An officer located a vehicle running in the parking lot of Trail City 4×4 that appeared unattended. While checking on the vehicle, a male was observed lying slouched down in the driver’s seat passed out. Contact was made with the male, Jason Schrock, and it was learned that he was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage while sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle while it was running. Schrock was arrested for physical control.

An officer was contacted by a female who reported that someone had filed an unemployment claim through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services in her name. A report was filed and will be forwarded to the Mount Vernon Police Department’s Detective Division for further investigation.

An officer was flagged down on North Norton Street to investigate a burglary. A report was taken on the incident.

 

December 11
A female who lives on East High Street reported a theft. The item taken was observed earlier in the week on the property. A report was filed.

An officer was dispatched to a residence on North Main Street in reference to a stolen license plate. An investigation is pending.

 

December 12
An Officer responded to a theft complaint on North McKenzie Street. A report was filed for a stolen bicycle.

December 13
An officer was dispatched to Tractor Supply on Coshocton Avenue to investigate a theft regarding an employee’s cell phone. An investigation is pending.

Drug paraphernalia was turned over by hospital staff. The suspect is unknown.

Marc E Quinn was cited for operator/chauffeur license required.

 

December 13
Douglas S Jarrett was cited for driving while intoxicated, operating a vehicle under the influence, and failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
