Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Nov 23, 2020

November 20
Deputies were dispatched to a dog bite call. Deputies and Animal Control responded to the location on Columbus Road. Photographs were taken, a statement was collected and Animal Control took possession of the dog. The non-offense victim was transported to Knox Community Hospital by ambulance.

A Deputy attempted to make contact with an individual who was involved in a hit-skip accident in Johnstown at their residence but they were not home. The vehicle that had been involved in the accident was observed on Deal Road. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver, Kevin L Thompson, was arrested for OVI then transported to the Knox County Jail.

Noah Skaggs was located and arrested for the Mount Vernon Police Department’s active investigation involving domestic violence. Skaggs was located traveling westbound on Columbus Road heading toward Centerburg and was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

November 21
A Complainant advised that a non-offense victim attempted to self-harm. The non-offense victim was transported by the College Township squad to Knox Community Hospital.

Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at Chapel Hill Golf Course where a victim stated the mother of his children had tazed him with a stun gun and fled the scene. Contact was made with the female at Irish Hills Golf Course. Statements were collected from both parties.  Whitney N Stull was arrested and charged with domestic violence and aggravated menacing. Stull was transported to the Knox County Jail and released to jail staff.

A Complainant reported that he was assaulted two days prior and he wanted to report it. A report was written and an investigation was started.

A Complainant advised that a non-offense victim was in crisis. The victim was voluntarily transported to Knox Community Hospital without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Sycamore Road for a nuisance complaint involving several animals. Contact was made with the complainant and a report was taken to document the situation.

November 22
A Complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to report 3 males in a vehicle driving back and forth on the road acting suspiciously. An individual from the area confronted the occupants in the vehicle and stated that they threatened him with a gun.

Deputies were dispatched to Bryant Road on the report of a juvenile male that was suicidal and possibly homicidal. The father transported the juvenile to the ER for a mental evaluation.

A Complainant advised that while they were hiking at Wolf Run Park their vehicle was broken into. Their wallet was taken from the vehicle and the suspect(s) attempted to use a credit card at Walmart. The case remains under investigation.

A Complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Mishey Road in Fredericktown. The vehicle was discovered and an intoxicated juvenile was observed as a passenger

November 23
A Complainant advised that there were several Amish kids that were trespassing on his property and drinking underage. Deputies responded and located several juveniles at the incident location. Several people were issued citations and others were taken home and released to their parents.

Deputies responded to a residence on Baldwin Drive for a female in a mental crisis. She was pink-slipped and transported to Knox Community Hospital for an evaluation.
