Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Nov 13, 2020

Adam Saunders was arrested on an outstanding warrant and a search, incident to arrest of his person and belongings, was conducted. A small glass vile containing a white crystalline substance was located in a wallet in his backpack. The vile was collected as evidence and will be sent to the lab for testing. Saunders was transported to the Knox County Jail and released to jail staff on November 13, 2020.

Fredericktown Police advised that they were in pursuit of a vehicle that was headed south on State Route 13 from Fredericktown. A Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy was able to deploy stop sticks at the intersection of State Route 13 and Beckley Road which were effective in stopping the vehicle. The female driver was secured and a child in the vehicle was released to his grandmother. A report was made for documentation on November 10th, 2020.

The Centerburg School Resource Officer was advised of a missing student. The student was located and a report was made to send to juvenile court for review on November 12th, 2020.

A Complainant contacted the Knox County Sheriff’s Office on November 10th, 2020, and stated that oil was taken from oil tanks that he works on.

A Deputy was notified that the Mount Vernon Police Department was in pursuit of a vehicle that was headed in his direction. The deputy set up his stop sticks and blocked access to Walhonding Road with his patrol cruiser. The stop sticks punctured one tire on the target vehicle which was rendered disabled approximately a mile east of the location the vehicle was spiked. The incident occurred on November 11th, 2020.
