Ten Indicted by Knox County Grand Jury

MOUNT VERNON – Ten people were indicted by the Knox County Grand Jury on Monday, eight on drug charges, one on a sex offender registration charge, and one for tampering with evidence.

 

Patrick T. Underwood, 36, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for failure to provide a change in vehicle information as a sex offender.  This is a felony of the third degree, with a mandatory sentence because of a prior failure to register offense.  Underwood was convicted of a sex offense in Knox County in 2015 and is required to register his address and vehicle information with the Knox County Sheriff.  The case was investigated by KCSO Dep. Jason Stachler and APA Officer William Baer.

 

Donald E. Bocook, 40, of Cardington, was indicted on one count of tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree.  Bocook is alleged to have ingested illegal drugs to avoid their detection after his vehicle was stopped for multiple traffic violations.  The case was investigated by Fredericktown Ptl. Josh Jones.

 

Tyler Ferreira, 22, of Mount Vernon, was indicted on two counts of trafficking in LSD, both felonies of the fourth degree.  The charges arose from two alleged sales during the month of July This case was investigated by MVPD Det. Jessica Butler.

 

Chelsea R. Crum, 30, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.  Crum allegedly was in possession of methamphetamine after sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to check on her welfare.  The case was investigated by KCSO Dep. Zac Miller.

 

Brandon J. Smith, 31, of Columbus, was indicted for possession of cocaine and aggravated possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies.  Smith allegedly possessed methamphetamine and cocaine when he was stopped for an expired vehicle registration in August.  This case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. James Coffey.

 

Terrence Ware, 44, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.  Mount Vernon police found him in possession of alleged methamphetamine during a traffic stop in September. This case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. Matthew McDonald.

 

Kylie Miracle, 22, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.  Miracle allegedly was in possession of methamphetamine when she was arrested on an outstanding warrant in July. This case was also investigated by MVPD Ptl. McDonald.

 

Vicky L. Browning, 51, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.  Browning was arrested in Coshocton County on an outstanding warrant from Mount Vernon Municipal Court in July.  She was found to be in possession of alleged methamphetamine when she was booked into the Knox County Jail.  This case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. Nick Holdren.

 

Kelsey E. Kuhn, Jr., 49, of Mount Vernon, was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.  Mount Vernon police found him in possession of alleged methamphetamine during a traffic stop in October. This case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. Aaron Collins and Det. Jessica Butler.

 

William R. Hobbs, 46, of Columbus, was indicted for possession of cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree.  The Ohio State Highway Patrol stopped Hobbs on a traffic violation in Clinton Township and discovered the alleged cocaine after a K9 sniff of his vehicle.  This case was investigated by Trooper Joshua Carte, MVPD Ptl. Matt Jones and K9 D.J.
