A Complainant advised that a shop/storage building had been broken into. Photos and statements were taken on November 1st, 2020.

A Deputy made contact with the occupants of a vehicle parked at the Honey Run Waterfall parking lot, when the park was closed, during the early morning hours. A drug-sniffing K-9 performed a sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the vehicle. Drug abuse instruments and other paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle. Lisa Artiquez was issued a summons in lieu of arrest on November 1st, 2020.

Deputies and Mount Vernon Police units responded to shots fired on Columbus Road. Once on the scene, a male was found to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The male was transported to Knox Community Hospital on November 1st, 2020.

A Complainant advised that a vehicle drove into a field on Pipesville Road in Howard causing damage on November 1st, 2020.

A Complainant reported that Kaleb Kirkman, of Mount Vernon, had possibly overdosed on drugs. It was determined that Kirkman had an outstanding warrant issued out of the Mount Vernon Municipal Court. Kirkman was medically cleared then transported to the Knox County Jail on October 31st, 2020.

A Complainant reported that they had let an employee use their personal credit cards to make purchases for their business and the employee has yet to return the cards. The incident was reported on November 1st, 2020.

A victim advised that someone had stolen his vehicle between 5:00 PM and 9:00 AM on October 31st, 2020. A report was taken and the vehicle was entered into L.E.A.D.S. as stolen.

A Complainant reported that an associated person was out of control and that he was in the back yard and they had locked him out there due to him being out of control on October 31st, 2020.

Employees at the Mohican Reservation reported damage to a common area caused by a vehicle. Contact was made with the employees and the person driving the vehicle. Statements were collected and a report was sent to the City Law Director for review on October 31st, 2020.

A Deputy was dispatched to the area of Snively Road and Wooster Road on cows in the roadway. The deputy was able to make contact with the owner who lives out of state but had someone caring for the animals. The deputy and the animal’s caretaker were able to get the cows into the proper pasture on November 1st, 2020.
