WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) released a Public Service Announcement encouraging Ohioans to make their voices heard and cast their ballots safely on Election Day. Ohioans can vote early or on Election Day, Nov. 3. In-person early voting is still going on today. And polls will be open from 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on Election Day. Brown also released his new video PSA on YouTube and Twitter.

“Your vote is your voice in our government, and election officials have a plan in place to make sure everyone can cast their ballot without intimidation,” said Brown. “This is the most important election of our lifetime. And your vote matters. So, if you haven’t voted yet, make a plan to vote today or tomorrow before the polls close.”

In October, Brown and former Republican Governor of Ohio, Bob Taft, hosted a news conference call to discuss the importance of voting in this election. Both Brown and Taft have served as Secretaries of State in Ohio, and are urging Ohioans to make their voices heard this Election Day. Brown and Taft also released a video PSA on Youtube and Twitter, which encouraged young, healthy Ohioans to step up and become poll workers in order to help America vote. There was a shortage of volunteers this year due to the pandemic, and Ohioans who signed up have helped their communities and helped ensure everyone’s voice can be heard this Election Day.
