Fredericktown Officers Recognized for Achievements

Congratulations to the following Fredericktown Police Department Officers who were recognized for their achievements today at the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) graduation ceremony.

Ptl. Wade Duston graduated from the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) program and attained his CIT Officer certification.
Ptl. Josh Jones received the CIT Officer of the Year award for his exceptional handling of those individuals in the community who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Ptl. Jones is a 2017 graduate of the CIT program.
CIT is a program that provides the foundation necessary to promote community and statewide solutions to assist individuals with a mental illness and/or addictions. CIT provides a forum for effective problem solving regarding the interaction between the criminal justice and mental health care system and creates the context for sustainable change.
