KCCC Building Trades Students Help Serve Community

Seniors in Building Trades pose for a groundbreaking picture with representatives from the Ohio Contractors Association (OCA), City of Mount Vernon Mayor Starr, Chief Christopher of the Mount Vernon Fire Department, Bobby Small from Small’s Sand & Gravel, Jeff Wintermute & John Ellis from Ellis Brothers Concrete, and Building Trades Lab Instructor Colby Clippinger. KCCC Building Trades received a $2,000 donation from the OCA along with donations from Small’s Sand & Gravel, Ellis Brothers Concrete, and Miller Portables to team up with the Mount Vernon Fire Department to create a large patio space for members of the Mount Vernon Fire Department and their families to relax and enjoy meals together. These donations give our KCCC Building Trades students the opportunity to work on skills they’ve learned and help serve in our community. A special thank you to KCCC Building Trades Lab Instructor, Colby Clippinger, for organizing this event.
