UPDATE: Thanks to the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies and citizens, Timothy Howard has been located safe.
The Mount Vernon Police Department is searching for Timothy Howard. He was last seen in the Coshocton Avenue area wearing a purple hospital gown. The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be conducting a search of the area by air patrol. Although he has not exhibited violent tendencies and is not believed to be armed, please do not approach Mr. Howard. If you see Timothy Howard, please call 911 or the non-emergency number, which is 740-397-2222 and choose option 1.
