Aug. 17
Suspicious vehicle – Village Park, South Market Street

Aug. 18
Civil Issue involving a Facebook posting – 200 block of East Walnut Street
Parking complaint of a vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant – 10 block of West South Street

Aug. 20
Alexander Marti age 20 of Mount Vernon was issued traffic citations for driving under suspension & fictitious plates. Marti’s vehicle was also impounded
Conducted a K-9 sweep of a vehicle for the presence of illegal drugs/contraband w/positive hit – West Walnut Street / South Market Street

Aug. 21
A vehicle driven by a female juvenile pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by a female juvenile. One vehicle received minor damages and the other received extensive damages but was drivable. No injuries to the vehicle’s occupants – Intersection of Mickley Street & West South Street

Aug. 22
Assisted the Fire Department in locating a reported fire which was found to be a person was burning brush off a fence line – 20000 block of Danville-Amity Road
A citizen turned in a set of keys found at the Bridge of Dreams – Hunter Road
Assisted a motorist with their disabled vehicle – West Main Street

Aug. 23
Assisted a sheriff’s deputy on a disturbance call – Tiger Valley Road / Mickley Road
Dog running loose – 300 block of East Main Street

Aug. 24
Disturbance – 10 block of West Ross Street
Disturbance – 300 block of North Street
Assisted the Sheriff’s Office by checking on complaint of a child left alone in a vehicle at the Dollar General Store in Amity and the vehicle had possibly came to a Danville location. Officer investigated and discovered who the driver of the vehicle was and relayed the information to the Sheriff’s Office for their further investigation
