A Complainant advised that there was a brush chipper in the roadway. The brush chipper had the keys in the ignition and there were no locks on the hitch. The vehicle was towed to On-the-Spot Towing for safekeeping and proof of ownership for release on July 19, 2020.

A Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an improper right turn and failure to use their turn signal. While speaking with the operator of the vehicle the deputy observed several signs of intoxication. Standardized field sobriety tests were conducted and the operator, Karrie Kidd, of Mount Vernon, was arrested for suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence on July 19th, 2020.

Rhonda Howell, of Mount Liberty, was cited for no operator’s license on July 19th, 2020.

A Complainant reported that there was a possible barn fire on North Clayton Street in Centerburg. Centerburg Fire, assisted by Delaware County Fire, arrived on the scene and put the fire out. No injuries were reported on July 19th, 2020.

A Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for making an illegal pass on Harcourt Road. The driver, Timothy Llewellyn, of Mount Vernon, was driving without a driver’s license and was cited for the violations on July 18th, 2020.

A Complainant advised that the suspect was driving a gray Ford F-150 intoxicated on Flat Run Road and had kicked the Complainant out of the vehicle. The complainant requested officers to respond to the area of Flat Run Road and Cavallo Road to speak with her. When officers made contact with the suspect, Austin Colopy of Danville, they could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and the suspect admitted to drinking. Colopy was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence and was transported to the Knox County Jail on July 18th, 2020.

Griffin Lanigan, of Mount Vernon, was cited for failure to yield when he was involved in an accident on Columbus Road on July 17th, 2020.
