A traffic stop was conducted on a motorcycle for not having tail lights or a license plate. During the traffic stop, the suspect was found to have a suspended driver’s license and no motorcycle endorsement. The motorcycle had been reported as stolen to Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office on July 13, 2020. Dalton Smith was arrested and during the search, an uncapped needle was located in the suspect’s right front pocket. Smith was transported to the Knox County Jail and once at the jail, a plastic bag containing methamphetamines was located in the backseat of the cruiser. Smith was jailed on aggravated possession of drugs, receiving stolen property, possession of drug abuse instrument, and driving under suspension on July 16th, 2020.

A Complainant advised that he found his woodworking shop broken into on July 14th, 2020, at 10:00 AM and items were missing. An itemized list was obtained and a report was made.

A Complainant contacted the Sheriff’s Office in reference to his boat trailer being missing from the Apple Valley Marina. The trailer was not able to be located and was entered as stolen on July 14th, 2020.
