Hughes, Moran, Richardson Sentenced to Prison

Three Knox County men were sentenced to prison today for various offenses.

Brian Hughes, 58, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to 17 months for possession of child pornography obtained through his Facebook account. Hughes must register as a sex offender for 25 years and will have five years of post-release parole supervision.

Kenneth Moran, 46, of Frazeysburg, was sentenced to three years in prison for a felony OVI and driving under a lifetime license suspension. Moran, who has multiple prior OVI convictions, was passing a vehicle on a double-yellow line stretch of roadway when he crashed into a mailbox. He had a blood alcohol content of .272, more than three times the legal limit. Moran’s sentence is mandatory and he will not be eligible for early release.

Keith Richardson, 48, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to an indefinite term of 3 to 4.5 years for aggravated trafficking in drugs. The three-year term is mandatory and not subject to reduction or early release. Richardson’s offense involved selling drugs to a confidential informant in the vicinity of a school on the west side of Mount Vernon.
