Mollie de Rojas New Fredericktown Councilmember

Mayor Day and Village Council would like to welcome the newest councilmember, Mollie de Rojas. Mollie was appointed by Council and sworn in Friday, June 10th by Mayor Day. Looking on are Mollie’s two sons and her father. We are excited to have a fresh new mind on Council and we look forward to working with Mollie for the foreseeable future.

Mollie is a 1990 graduate of Fredericktown High School who, after spending many years in Columbus, decided to relocate and raise her family in her hometown. Mollie and her husband Sergio (not pictured) purchased her grandparents’ home (Wilbur & Helen Davis) in the Village and relocated back in 2004. They have enjoyed endless restoration and remodeling projects on their home. They have two sons, Emilio and Antonio, both attending Fredericktown Local Schools. Mollie has enjoyed a 28-year career in public service; working in social service, correctional, court and law enforcement environments, specializing in workforce and economic development, labor management and dispute resolution. She currently works as a Labor Relations Officer for the Ohio Department of Public Safety and also volunteers her time as a mediator and arbitrator for the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc. Mollie says she hopes to make a positive impact in her hometown and encourages residents to reach out to her.
