Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Jun 10, 2020

A vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation on Walhonding Road. The driver of the vehicle, Donald Uhl of Walhonding, was operating the vehicle with a driver’s license that expired in June of 2009. The registration license plate on the vehicle was also found to be fictitious. Uhl was issued a citation and the vehicle was impounded on June 9th, 2020.

A Deputy was dispatched to Harcourt Road on the report of storage units that had been broken into. A report was taken on June 9th, 2020.

A Complainant advised that her wallet was stolen and that Jerry Lanham, of Cleveland, had taken it. Lanham was arrested for theft and transported to the Knox County Jail on June 8th, 2020.

A Complainant stated that unknown person(s) went through his unlocked vehicle and took a Bluetooth speaker from the vehicle on June 9th, 2020.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of Fairgrounds Road and Wooster Road to make contact with a male individual stating that he was just assaulted by another male individual on Fairgrounds Road. A Deputy was able to make contact with the male individual on Fairgrounds Road and observed that the male had bruising, swelling, and blood near his nose and mouth area. The individual stated that he was at the resident on Fairgrounds Road and was assaulted by the other individual. A statement and photographs were collected for a report to be written and the individual was given a courtesy ride to his residence. David McKerchie, of Howard, was charged with assault and Aaron Wolfe, of Mount Vernon, was charged with domestic violence on June 9th, 2020.
