Knox County: Weekly Construction Update

WEEK OF 6/8/2020

Jacksontown, Ohio (Thursday, June 4, 2020) – The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Knox County. All outlined work is weather permitting.

State Route 3

Culvert replacements on State Route 3 between the Ashland County line and SR 768 – SR 3 is scheduled to close during June for multiple culvert replacements between the Ashland County line and SR 768. Crews will be working at 8 separate locations during the month of June. Once finished with one culvert replacement, they will move to the next. Each location listed below will close on the first date at 7:30 a.m. and re-open two days later at 7:30 a.m.

  • New impacts:
    • Monday, June 8 – Wednesday, June 10: Closed between Ireland Road and Orange Hill Road/Pealer Mill Road
    • Wednesday, June 10 – Friday, June 12: Ireland Road and North Pigeon Roost Road
    • Detour: SR 3 NB to SR 13 NB to SR 95 EB to SR 97 EB and reverse.

U.S. Route 36 bridge replacement in the village of Centerburg – Bridge replacement on U.S. 36, immediately west of SR 314. Motorists can expect U.S. 36 to be restricted with a temporary traffic signal. The estimated completion is Fall 2020.

  • New impacts: Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 8.
