Knox County Sheriff’s Report – May 26, 2020

A Complainant reports three trucks were “tearing up” property close to her property. Upon arrival, deputies observed significant damage to a Kokosing Wildlife parking lot caused by the suspects. The unknown suspects had left the area before their arrival on May 25th, 2020.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of King Beach in Howard on the report of a vehicle in the lake. It was determined that it was a vehicle and water rescue was activated. The vehicle was identified by its registration plate and contact was made with the owner. The owner advised that the vehicle was last seen at his residence on May 23rd, 2020. The owner said that the vehicle had the keys inside of it and it was determined to be a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered from the lake by Bluebaugh Towing and taken to their impound lot on May 24th, 2020.

Deputies responded to Murray Road for a report of threats. A Complainant advised that a male left the residence after an argument and stated that he would return with a gun. Richard Johnson, of Mount Vernon, was arrested for menacing on May 23rd, 2020.

A Deputy was advised that there was a victim of an assault at Knox Community Hospital. The victim was seeking medical attention due to being assaulted at the location of Columbus Road on May 23rd, 2020.

A Complainant advised that the suspect Linda Hagans of Bladensburg drove by and threw litter into her yard. Hagans received a minor misdemeanor citation on May 22nd, 2020.

A victim called to report that he went out to his vehicle to find the rear window shattered. The victim stated that the last time he knew that the window was not broken was on May 21st, 2020 around 6 PM.
