Knox County Sheriff’s Report – May 22, 2020

A Complainant advised that a 2016 Dodge Challenger Hell Cat was taken off a dealership lot on Harcourt Road on May 16th, 2020.
Deputies were dispatched to Harcourt Road in Mount Vernon on a suspicious person looking into vehicles in a business lot. The suspect left the scene before deputies could arrive. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle that the suspect was driving was contacted and the suspect did not have permission to drive the vehicle. The owner of the business completed a written statement concerning the trespassing. The vehicle was searched and multiple stolen items were located. David Cross II, of Howard, was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal trespass on May 22nd, 2020.
