Public Invited to Virtual Public Meeting Regarding Injection Well Application in Belmont County

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) will host a virtual public meeting regarding two pending Class II Injection Well permit applications in Belmont County. The meeting will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on April 10, 2020.

The meeting is being held virtually in response to guidelines and recommendations issued by Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health. Residents may access the meeting through the video conferencing solution WebEx which limits participation to the first 200 people. A call-in only feature will be available for those without internet access. Information for accessing the meeting will be posted by Monday, April 6, at oilandgas.ohiodnr.gov.

Omni Energy Group proposes to drill two Class II Injection Wells near the intersection of U.S 40 and Ohio 331 near St. Clairsville in Belmont County. The ODNR Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management will provide information regarding the permit applications during the virtual public meeting.
