Marginal Risk for Severe Weather

Several rounds of rain showers with scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon through Friday afternoon. Some of these thunderstorms may reach severe levels with wind gusts up to 60 mph. For this reason, the Storm Prediction Center has put much of the area under a marginal risk for severe weather tonight and tomorrow. Additional rainfall of half an inch to an inch may lead to nuisance flooding in poor drainage and low-lying areas. Additional rises are possible on area rivers. Southwest to west wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph are possible throughout the day Friday.
