Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Feb 17, 2020

A Deputy was dispatched to Kenyon College in Gambier on a report of an intoxicated 18-year-old female student. Campus Safety was tending to Flannery Strain, of Mill Valley, CA, who was laying on the floor unconscious. She did smell of alcohol. College Twp EMS arrived on the scene and transported Strain to KCH for further treatment. She was issued a summons for underage consumption of alcohol on February 15th, 2020.

A complainant reported that the license plate was stolen off of her vehicle. A report was taken and the license plate was entered into LEADs as stolen on February 12th, 2020.

Leeza Smith, of Centerburg, was located and was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued out of the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on February 15th, 2020.

A Deputy was dispatched to Kenyon College Safety to pick up a marijuana pipe and a baggie containing a small amount of marijuana. The items were found in a dorm room and were taken to the Mount Vernon Sheriff’s Ofice to be destroyed on February 15th, 2020.

Douglas Morris and Penny Hignite, both of Mount Vernon, were cited for disorderly conduct on February 14th, 2020.

Meghan Craig, of Delaware, was arrested in another county. A probation officer from the Knox County Common Pleas Court requested a Knox County Sheriff’s Office Deputy relay with the out of county police depart and transported her to the Knox County Jail. Craig, who was under the influence of alcohol, was taken to jail and held on a probation holder on February 14th, 2020.

Kenneth Moran, of Frazeysburg, was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued out of the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on February 14th, 2020.

A complainant filed a report in regards to fraud on February 10th, 2020.
