New Projects Expected to Create More Than $295 Million in Investments

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted today announced the approval of assistance for 13 projects set to create 1,275 new jobs and retain 1,657 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $88 million in new payroll and spur more than $295 million in investments across Ohio.

Projects approved by the TCA include:

CENTRAL
Northwest Bank, City of Columbus (Franklin Co.), expects to create 50 full-time positions, generating $3.8 million in new annual payroll and retaining $553,613 in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Columbus. Northwest Bank operates 172 branches in central and western Pennsylvania, western New York, and eastern Ohio. The TCA approved a 1.59 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

ScriptDrop Inc., City of Grandview Heights (Franklin Co.), expects to create 80 full-time positions, generating $7.2 million in new annual payroll and retaining $1.4 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Grandview Heights. ScriptDrop is a software development company that automates prescription refills and medication delivery, as well as sends patients medication reminders through mobile devices. The TCA approved a 1.816 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

NORTHEAST
Allied Machine & Engineering Corporation, City of Dover (Tuscarawas Co.), expects to create 21 full-time positions, generating $1.3 million in new annual payroll and retaining $22 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Dover. Allied Machine manufactures hole-making and finishing tooling systems. The TCA approved a 1.292 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Case Farms Processing Inc., Village of Winesburg (Holmes Co.), expects to create 144 full-time positions, generating $5.3 million in new annual payroll and retaining $13.4 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the Village of Winesburg. Case Farms is a farming and processing group that produces poultry products. The TCA approved a 1.231 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Glassdoor Inc., City of Green (Summit Co.), expects to create 40 full-time positions, generating $2.7 million in new annual payroll and retaining $3.3 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Green. Glassdoor is a job and recruiting website that offers job postings, company reviews, office photos, information on company salaries, and other talent solutions. The TCA approved a 1.651 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Surgere Inc., City of Green (Summit Co.), expects to create 93 full-time positions, generating $7.6 million in new annual payroll and retaining $4.7 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Green. Surgere develops software, in part using artificial intelligence, to help users track shipments via rail or truck. The TCA approved a 1.698 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Zilker Technology LLC, City of Cleveland (Cuyahoga Co.), expects to create 56 full-time positions, generating $7 million in new annual payroll and retaining $1.6 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Cleveland. Zilker Technology develops and modifies computer software and bundles it with hardware to provide an integrated system. The TCA approved a 2.11 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

NORTHWEST
Axiom Engineered Systems LLC (Axiom Group), City of Toledo (Lucas Co.), expects to create 250 full-time positions, generating $9.9 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Toledo. Axiom Group designs and manufactures interior auto parts, such as window regulators, dashboards, and interior door panels. The TCA approved a 1.442 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Fresh Products LLC (Fresh), Perrysburg Township (Wood Co.), expects to create 91 full-time positions, generating $4.2 million in new annual payroll and retaining $9.8 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Perrysburg Township. Fresh manufacturer’s odor control and air-freshening products. The TCA approved a 1.391 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

SOUTHWEST
Losant IoT Inc., City of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.), expects to create 100 full-time positions, generating $10 million in new annual payroll and retaining $3.4 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Cincinnati. Losant hosts an internet of things (IoT) software platform and related services. The TCA approved a 2 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

SPS Technologies LLC, City of Mason (Warren Co.), expects to create 190 full-time positions, generating $14.6 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Mason. SPS Technologies designs and manufactures fasteners for the aviation industry. The TCA approved a 2.26 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

WESTERN
Avery Dennison Retail Information Services LLC, City of Miamisburg (Montgomery Co.), expects to create 65 full-time positions, generating $6 million in new annual payroll and retaining $29.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Miamisburg. Avery Dennison manufactures and distributes pressure-sensitive adhesive materials, apparel branding labels and tags, tags in smart labels, and specialty medical products. The TCA approved a 1.796 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

LOCATION TBD
Callibrity Solutions LLC, (Location TBD), expects to create 95 full-time positions, generating $9 million in new annual payroll and retaining $2.8 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in a to-be-determined location. Callibrity Solutions is an IT consulting firm. The TCA approved a 1.982 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
