Friends of the Library Presents: “50 Fun Stories from Local History” with Author and Storyteller Mark Jordan

Fresh off his full-house Halloween Chautauqua at the Grand Hotel, award-winning writer, actor, storyteller, playwright and music critic Mark S. Jordan will lighten up the evening with “50 Fun Stories from Local History” at the Friends of the Library Annual Program on Wednesday, December 18, 6:30 p.m., at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, 201 N. Mulberry Street, Mount Vernon.

The program is free and open to FOL members and the public. The evening will begin with a short business meeting for the yearly report and election of board officers.

Jordan has an extensive background in journalism, poetry, theater, and music. He has written several books and served as Malabar Farm Hostel manager until the hostel closed in 2017. Jordan wrote, directed and produced the Malabar Trilogy of historical dramas, Ceely, Phoebe and Louis, featured at Malabar Farm State Park from 2003-15.

Refreshments and seasonal floral arrangement door prizes will be provided by the Friends of the Library.
