Community Resources for Quitting Nicotine and Tobacco

Have you started to see these signs around our community?? They are the signs retailers are required to post indicating it is illegal to sell tobacco products and alternative nicotine products like e-cigarette and vaping products to anyone under the age of 21. This sign is required by the Ohio Tobacco 21 law which went into effect on October 17th. Smokers under the age of 21 at the time the law went into effect were not grandfathered in and are not able to purchase nicotine products. In this case, and in all cases of individuals wanting to quit nicotine use, we have community resources to help: Ohio Tobacco Quitline (counseling over the phone: 1-800-Quit-Now) and our KCHD tobacco cessation classes (Tuesday @ 10 am – KCH Private Dining Room or Thursdays @ 7 pm – KCHD Conference Room). #T21 #KnoxHealth
