Scott, Workman Sentenced to Prison

Paul Scott Jr., 24, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to 30 months in prison today in Knox County Common Pleas Court for Having Weapons Under Disability, a third-degree felony. Scott was apprehended in July with a .38 special in his possession in the parking lot of Pleasant Street School. He was prohibited from having a firearm because of a 2014 arson conviction. The case was investigated by MVPD Cpl. Rex Young.

Charles J. Workman, 48, of Danville, was sentenced to 17 months for failure to register social media accounts with the Sheriff as part of his sex offender registration. Workman is required to register after a 2011 conviction for child pornography in the U.S. District Court in Columbus. The case was investigated by KCSO Sgt. Tim Knell.
