Assisted Utica police officer – Utica

Oct. 14
Traffic violation (stop sign) – High Street & West Rambo Street
Unsecured building – West Rambo Street
Traffic violation (stop sign) – Serilda Street & Tilton Street
Traffic violation (speed) – West Rambo Street
Assisted Municipal Court Bailiff on locating a subject

Oct. 15
Suspicious vehicle – Bridge of Dreams, Brinkhaven
Assisted police unit – West Rambo Street

K-9 unit conducted a vehicle sweep for illegal drugs/contraband w/positive hit – West Rambo Street
Recovered stolen vehicle – Amanda N. Shafer age 33 of Mount Vernon was stopped for a traffic violation on West Rambo Street. It was discovered the vehicle Shafer was driving had been reported as stolen out of Crawford County. It was also discovered that Shafer had an active arrest warrant and that Shafer was in possession of two loaded firearms within the school zone, possession of stolen credit card, illegal drugs, and drug paraphernalia. Shafer was transported to the Knox County Jail. Shafer was issued traffic citations for driving under suspension, speed and loud exhaust. The incident report will be forwarded to the County Prosecutor for criminal charges to be filed in addition to the traffic charges

K-9 unit conducted a meet-n-greet for pre-school children – Elementary School
Traffic violation (turn signals) – South Market Street

Oct. 18
Threats – West Washington Street
Disturbance – South Cedar Street
Structure fire – East Plum Street
John Goudy age 80 of Danville was arrested for violation of a protection order and transported to the Knox County Jail
Unsecured building – Serilda Street

Oct. 19
Assisted a sheriff’s deputy – Millersburg Road
Assisted sheriff deputies – Cornish Road

Oct. 20
Disturbance – Plum Street

Oct. 21
Criminal case involving Amanda N. Shafer age 33 of Mount Vernon was presented to the Knox County Grand Jury. Shafer was indicted on Inducing panic (due to Danville Schools having to go under lock-down as incident occurred within the area of the schools), two counts receiving stolen property, two counts of weapons under disability and aggravated possession of methamphetamine
