Danville Public Library Adult Book Discussion – The Pioneers: The Heroic Story of the Settlers who Brought the American Ideal West

“The Pioneers: The Heroic Story of the Settlers who Brought the American Ideal West,” by David McCullough, will be featured at the adult book discussion on Tuesday, October 22, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Danville Public Library.

Guest Robert Neumann will lead the discussion on the latest best-seller from the Pulitzer Prize-winning author. Drawn in great part from a rare and all-but-unknown collection of diaries and letters by the key figures, “The Pioneers” is a uniquely American story of people whose ambition and courage led them to remarkable accomplishments. This is a revelatory and quintessentially American story, written with McCullough’s signature narrative energy.

Free and open to the public. Participants will be eligible to win a gift certificate donated by the Friends of the Library. Refreshments will be served.
