The Knox County Community Health Center offers a one-stop-shop health care including services for medical, dental and counseling needs. Our services are available to everyone. We offer a sliding fee pay scale and discounted costs for tests and screenings. Our counselors are certified in addiction treatment. The Community Health Center is one of only two locations in Knox County that administers Vivitrol, a medication that aids in the recovery from addiction. Vivitrol blocks opioid receptors in the brain for one month at a time, helping patients to prevent relapse to opioid dependence, following opioid detox, while they focus on counseling. Vivitrol is dispensed through a physician’s prescription.
