Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Jun 26, 2019

A house and vehicle were vandalized by an unknown suspect at an Apple Valley Drive residence. The suspect threw eggs at the home and vehicle on June 26th, 2019.

An unoccupied vehicle was found parked along the roadway on Paige Road. Deputies patrolled the area looking for someone on foot but later found the vehicle moving. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and during the investigation, it was found that Samuel Smith was trespassing on the land of another. Smith was given a summons in lieu of arrest for trespassing on June 26th, 2019.

While patrolling Apple Valley Lake, a female was rescued from the water after jumping in after her canine without a life preserver. Two citizens went above and beyond assisting with the rescue. A report was made to document the incident on June 25th, 2019.

A complainant advised that Kaitlyn Gilbert was at the Riverside Recovery Sober House and he wanted her arrested on a probation violation. Gilbert was arrested on June 25th, 2019.

Deputies were advised of the location of a subject with a nationwide warrant in Knox County. Monty Thomas of Danville was found, the warrant was confirmed, and he was arrested on June 25th, 2019.
