(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted sent a letter to Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer expressing interest in the future of the Enbridge Energy Line 5 pipeline. The line travels along the straits of Mackinac and serves several refineries in Northwest Ohio.
Governor DeWine spoke with Governor Whitmer over the weekend about plans for replacement of the pipeline. Lt. Governor Husted will travel to Toledo this morning to meet with employees at Toledo Refining.
