New Directions, the Domestic Abuse Shelter and Rape Crisis Center of Knox County is seeking part-time night and/or weekend staff to work with clients in our shelter. The successful candidate will interact with residents, help with daily tasks such as cooking, or assisting children with homework, provide support, and ensure the safety of residents while in the shelter. Professional duties will include documentation of interactions with residents, support group child care, as well as general cleaning/maintenance functions. This position may require flexibility with hours and coverage and will only be needed when residents are in the shelter. A high school diploma/GED and experience working in the domestic violence field is required. Successful completion of background check and drug screening are also required.
