The Fredericktown Community Fire District provides fire suppression, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, extrication, dive rescue, and fire prevention to our 118-square mile coverage area. We operate two firehouses, our main in the Village of Fredericktown which houses an engine, rescue, tanker, two grass trucks, 6×6 ATV, dive rescue trailer, and dive rescue boat. Along with that, our main station houses our offices, training center, meeting rooms, and the majority of all loose equipment owned by the district. Our second firehouse, (built in 2013) was constructed to reduce response times, as well as put apparatus closer to members that were living in the far eastern portion of our run district. This second house houses an engine, a towable diesel generator, and some loose equipment along with PPE for members.

Our area is a diverse region that is split by three, well-traveled state routes (Ohio 3, 95, and 13) that feed interstate routes. The multi-township district is primarily rural but is home to residential, recreational water and land, commercial buildings, mines/quarries, educational facilities, and significant agriculture. In addition to our primary response area, we provide contracted coverage for a small portion of Richland County.
