CH411 and E419 were dispatched at 1:34 am on Wednesday morning to Colony Drive in Fredericktown on the report of a possible chimney fire.
An officer with the Fredericktown Police Department noticed burning embers coming out of the top and bottom of the chimney. The officer called in the situation and woke the occupant of the trailer to evacuate.
Upon arrival by the FD, light smoke was coming from the chimney and a pile of embers below on the exterior of the structure. No fire remained in the stove or the chimney pipe and no further action was required.
The FCFD had six firefighters respond to this call.
