Wood Pile Fire in Fredericktown

CH412, G412, G414, and T417 were dispatched at 6:51 pm on Wednesday evening to the 6000 block of Yankee Street on the report of a woodpile that was on fire. A crew was enroute to the scene within a minute from the time of dispatch.

Upon arrival, crews found a pile of wood beside an outside wood burning stove (boiler) had caught fire. The pile was extinguished with around 1200 gallons of water. No damage to the structures around it.

The FCFD had eight firefighters and two cadets respond to the call. All FCFD personnel were back in quarters by 7:50 pm.
