White-Tailed Deer on the Move

Look out! White-tailed deer will be entering their breeding season, so you’ll want to be extra alert during all hours of the day while driving in Ohio during October, November, and December. Male deer are on the move during this time of year, crossing roads and through neighborhoods, making them much more susceptible to collisions with vehicles. Female deer (does) are also involved in many collisions with vehicles as they are being chased by the bucks.

Being alert, driving safely, and keeping your eye on the road may help reduce your chances of being in a collision with a deer during the fall breeding season.
