Permits for Fredericktown Drive Through Approved

Last night we had our meeting with the township zoning board and the permits for the drive through have been APPROVED! The board was concerned primarily with traffic flow issues but after a brainstorming session we came up with solutions to each of the potential issues that were raised and put together a very comprehensive plan to move forward. We’re giving much thanks to the board for being open-minded because we know this is a first for the area and we appreciate them working with us to make this happen.

The one bit of bad news, our petition to have our alcohol sales permit fell just a few signatures short of getting on November’s ballot. Partly because we got a really late start (we had 3 weeks to get 120 signatures), and partly because we took everyone at their word with difficult questions like “are you registered to vote?”. haha. None the less, we had about 15 “extra” signatures and 20 got rejected.

We’re currently beginning construction on an extension of our new shop to give our tow trucks a home, and building a new office space, so this won’t really affect our time line. All it means is in the fall and spring you’ll see our smiling faces out bugging people for signatures again, and this time we’re going to have plenty of time to get an absurd amount of extra signatures. Sorry for anyone who gets asked a second time, but we promise it’ll be worth it in the end.

Thanks again for all the positive buzz that been generated and stay tuned for more updates as we get closer and closer!
