Memories and Hope

No automatic alt text available. We would like to invite the community to join us for a Memories and Hope event on Friday, August 31, 2018, for International Overdose Awareness Day. We want to bring attention to the support and resources available within the community to help those who have experienced a loss due to a drug overdose. We will be gathering together on this day to remember our loved ones who have died. We will also gather to show support; nobody is alone in this journey. This event will be starting at 7:00 pm at the Raston Tower, Ariel-Foundation Park.

Please come join us as we share memories and provide hope for the families and friends whose loved ones have died. Also, we encourage individuals and families who to continue to battle addiction to join us. Please feel free to bring a picture of your loved one with you to share with others at this event. If you are not able to attend our event please know our Grievers of Overdose Group is open to everyone in the community.

We meet every third Thursday evening from 5:30-7:00 pm at Hospice located at 17700 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon. If you have any questions or would like more information please contact Kathy Wantland with Hospice of Knox County at 740-397-5188 or Melissa Body with the Freedom Center at 740-397-2660.
